Day Two
Today, get ready for adventure with a rafting trip through the spectacular Black Canyon – the natural gorge of the Colorado River! You’ll begin at the base of the Hoover Dam, offering an amazing perspective to this incredible piece of construction, standing as tall as a 60-story building. Climb aboard a motor-assisted inflatable raft and share in the history, wildlife and beauty of this otherwise inaccessible area. Keep an eye out for Desert Bighorn Sheep, Osprey and Great Blue Heron, and have an opportunity to enjoy the calm, clear waters along the shore. This evening, relax at the hotel, enjoy one of many restaurants for dinner on your own, or see if luck is on your side in the Bingo Room or at the blackjack table.
Day Three
After breakfast this morning we’ll bid farewell to Laughlin and head to Oatman, AZ. Best known for its many burros who wander the streets, Oatman was once a rough and tumble gold mining town. Today, enjoy the charming shops and gold rush memorabilia and be sure to take advantage of a photo op with an Oatman burro! On the way back to the Valley, we’ll visit historic downtown Kingman, known as the “heart of historic route 66”. There are a wide variety of restaurants including Mexican food, breweries, coffee shops and old school diners to choose from for lunch on your own before returning home.
