LAVENDER - PIZZA - ICE CREAM
The Pine Creek Canyon Lavender Farm is listed in The National Register of Historic Places as the Hunt Farmstead Historic District. It is the only privately held historic farmstead in the state of Arizona and has historical roots dating back to the 1880s.
Travel north to the mountains of Pine, AZ and visit Pine Creek Lavender Farm, and enjoy a delicious pizza lunch at Old County Inn!
At Pine Creek Lavender Farm, learn about lavender varieties and how to cook with them during a cooking demonstration and taste lavender-infused treats. Tour the farm, spend some time shopping for lavender products in the gift shop, and take home a gift package of a lavender chocolate chip cookie!
Enjoy a delicious included pizza lunch created from locally sourced ingredients at the popular Old County Inn. Take in the cool Pine air, relax on the patio with some yard games, or choose to indulge in a beer or craft cocktail. On the way back to Phoenix, stop for a final ice cream treat!
Day Excursion
Travel north from the Valley to the beautiful Pine Creek Lavender Farm in Pine, AZ. Step into a historic kitchen and enjoy a cooking demonstration and tasting. Learn the difference between lavender varieties and how to cook with lavender. Enjoy tasting some lavender-infused treats before taking a tour of the lavender field. Learn how lavender farming began here (you’ll be surprised!) and see the three varieties of lavender that are grown using natural creek water from Pine Creek. Visit the historic old farmhouse and shop for English and French Lavender inspired goodies. Take home a parting-gift of a lavender chocolate chip cookie! From the farm, venture down the road a bit to Old County Inn. Known for it’s outstanding wood-fired pizza and craft cocktails, Old County Inn has been ranked as the best small-town restaurant in Arizona (Thrillist, 2018). The restaurant is a local favorite that uses locally sourced ingredients, and has an outdoor patio with yard games. Enjoy an included pizza lunch in the beautiful mountain air! Traveling back to Phoenix, stop for a final treat of ice cream on the way home!
