MIM - Scottsdales Musical Instrument Museum (MIM), the worlds largest global instrument museum, presents Stradivarius and the Golden Age of Violins and Guitars. This one-of-a-kind exhibition showcases 10 exceptional instruments from the bowed string family, including a 1728 Stradivarius violin, on public display in the United States for the first time. Learn how early violin makers shaped music from the 16th century onward.
MIM houses a collection of more than 7,500 instruments from more than 200 countries. The galleries reflect the diversity and history of many world cultures, through music. At MIM, hear, see, and feel the creative spirit of people from around the world. Music and instruments show us what we have in common music is the language of the soul.
Fogo de Chao - Experience the Gaucho Way of Preparing Meat at Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse. Fogo de Chao offers a unique and fun way to enjoy delicious traditional Brazilian style of cooking. Your meal begins with the Market Table, filled with salads, vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, soups and more. Then Gauchos visit tableside with skewers of fire-roasted meats. Lunch also includes traditional Brazilian side dishes, a selection of desserts, soda, coffee and tea.
Day Excursion
Start your day at the Musical Instrument Museum’s special event Stradivarius and the Golden Age of Violins and Guitars. This one-of-a-kind exhibition showcases 10 exceptional instruments from the bowed string family, including a 1728 Stradivarius violin, on public display in the United States for the first time. Learn how early violin makers shaped music from the 16th century onward. Then enjoy a traditional Brazilian lunch at Fogo de Chao where you can experience the ‘Gaucho Way of Preparing Meat’.
Menu:
Begin your meal with the Market Table and Feijoada Bar, featuring seasonal salads, exotic vegetables, imported cheeses, smoked salmon, cured meats, Fogo feijoada (traditional black bean stew with sausage), seasonal soup and more.
Then Gauchos will bring skewers of fire-roasted meat to cut tableside, including Filet Mignon, Rib Eye, Picanha, Lamb Chops, Chicken, Sausage, and more.
With your meal, enjoy traditional Brazilian side dishes of warm pão de queijo (cheese bread), crispy polenta, mashed potatoes, and caramelized bananas.
A selection of desserts includes favorites such as Key Lime Pie, Tres Leches, Chocolate Brigadeiro and Cheesecake. Fountain beverages, coffee and tea are also included.
