Desert Belle

For more than fifty years, the Desert Belle has been cruising the scenic waters of Saguaro Lake. This historic boat offers a narrated tour highlighting breathtaking desert landscapes, towering canyon walls, and native wildlife. Guests can relax with indoor or outdoor seating, and enjoy beer, wine, or soft drinks available for purchase onboard.

 

 

Gunsight Pass

Gunsight Pass is a private, 28-acre replica of an 1880’s western town used as a wedding venue and movie set. Nestled in the McDowell Mountains, the town includes a stone chapel, saloon, jail, and grand hotel façade. Gunsight Pass is privately owned and not open to the public.

 

 

The Little Stone Chapel

It was constructed in 1881 in New York and was a Methodist Church in Wisconsin for some time. The walls and floor are covered in Iron Mountain Slate, and the hand-hewn beams were carved from reclaimed utility poles erected near Roosevelt Lake in the early 1900s.

 

 

The Birdcage Theatre

This is a detailed replica of the original Birdcage Theater in Tombstone, Arizona. The floor is made from salvaged beams from the Payson High School gymnasium and the tongue and groove doors contain no screws or nails. The enormous bar is handcrafted from oak, pine, poplar and maple.

 

 

The Grand Hotel

This is a tribute to the stately hotels of the late 1880’s. The freestanding façade includes a spacious wooden dock.

 

 

The Wicked Saguaro Saloon

It recreates the atmosphere of the bars and taverns where cowboys and miners quenched their thirst. The saloon also contains an extensive collection of autographed western memorabilia from stars of the stage and screen.
