Bearizona and Williams

Visit the wide range of wildlife at Bearizona, located in the tall Ponderosa Pines of Kaibab National Forest. Keep an eye from for majestic bison and big horn sheep, stealthy wolves, and adorable bear cubs. Dine among soaring canyon walls and ancient ruins at Canyonlands Restaurant. Stay the night at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in downtown Williams and experience the luxury of a bygone era. Spend an evening on your own exploring Main Street Williams Route 66 with numerous places to dine and shop.

 

Grand Canyon Railway

Ride aboard the historic Grand Canyon Railway from Williams to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Along the 64-mile, 2.5-hour journey be entertained by western musicians and cowboy characters in vintage rail cars. Watch the landscape change as you leave the high desert and approach the variety of colors and hues within the Grand Canyon.

 

Grand Canyon National Park

Be awed by the size and beauty of the Grand Canyon. Carved by the Colorado River, the 277-mile-long canyon is more than a mile deep in places. From the South Rim you can see the Canyon from some of the most stunning viewpoints. See how vast and stunning this National Park is on a tour of the park by bus. Just a short quarter mile walk or bus ride from the canyon’s edge is Maswik Lodge, nestled in the Ponderosa Pines.

Day One

We’ll head north from Phoenix and visit the wide range of wildlife at Bearizona, located in the tall Ponderosa Pines of Kaibab National Forest. During your included lunch at Canyonlands Restaurant, dine among soaring canyon walls and ancient ruins. Stay the night at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in downtown Williams and experience the luxury of a bygone era. Spend an evening and dinner on your own exploring Main Street Williams Route 66 with numerous places to dine and shop.

Day Two

Enjoy an included breakfast at the Fred Harvey Restaurant, located across from the hotel and adjacent to the train depot. Then hop aboard the Grand Canyon Railway for an entertaining and scenic ride to Grand Canyon National Park. Along the 64-mile, 2.5-hour journey be entertained by western musicians and cowboy characters in vintage rail cars. Watch the landscape change as you leave the high desert and approach the variety of colors and hues within the Grand Canyon. Upon arrival at the Grand Canyon Village depot, board a bus for a tour of Grand Canyon National Park and see how truly vast and stunning it is. Then check-in to Maswick Lodge for your one-night stay inside the National Park. This evening take time to explore on own. Walk along the rim trail, have dinner at one of the Grand Canyon dining options, and be sure to watch the most amazing sunset.

Day Three

Breakfast is included this morning at Maswick Lodge. After breakfast, we’ll continue through Grand Canyon National Park with a stop at Desert View Watch Tower, a 70-foot-high stone building that reflects the architecture of the ancestral Puebloans in the Four Corners Region. After exiting the Grand Canyon we’ll stop at Cameron Trading Post for lunch on your own before heading back to the Phoenix Valley.
