Learn the history, traditions and culture of the Navajo Tribe at the Navajo Interactive Museum and Code Talker Exhibit, Historic Tuba City Trading Post, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Window Rock Park and the Navajo Nation Tribal Chambers.
Spend time experiencing where Navajo history took place and where many movies were filmed with overnight stays in beautiful Page, the NavajoLand Hotel in Tuba City, the historic and stunning Goulding’s Lodge in Monument Valley, and the impressive Thunderbird Lodge in Canyon de Chelly.

Day One
After leaving the Valley, our first stop will be in stunning Sedona, for lunch on your own. It’s then on to beautiful Page, Arizona, the gateway to the breathtaking beauty of the southwest. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and spend time getting to know your fellow travelers.
DDay Two
Breakfast is included before our tour of the mesmerizing Antelope Canyon. Walk through this stunning slot canyon with a Native American Guide and be amazed at the breathtaking beauty created by millions of years of water and wind erosion. There are a variety of restaurants in Page where you’ll have lunch on your own before we depart for Tuba City. Tuba City is located within the stunning Painted Desert and is home to the Navajo Interactive Museum and Historic Tuba City Trading Post. Learn about the land, language, history, culture and ceremonial life of the Navajo. The impressive Navajo Code Talkers Exhibit includes gear and tools that were used in battle, and transcripts of a Code Talker. The Navajo Code Talkers were known for their speed in sharing messages, much faster than Morse code. The Historic Tuba City Trading post was started in 1891 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We’ll spend the night at the NavajoLand Hotel, in the heart of the Navajo Nation. (No elevators).
FBDay Three
After an included breakfast this morning, have your camera ready for a tour of the fabulous and beautiful Monument Valley, one of the centerpieces of the Navajo Nation. Stunning red sandstones push skyward from the vast expanse of desert floor, creating a striking set of formations that stand together against an umbrella of blue skies. We’ll spend the night at Goulding’s Lodge, steeped in rich history, and offering endless views of Monument Valley. Numerous movies have been filmed at the Lodge, and John Wayne stayed here several times. Visit the Goulding’s Museum and Trading Post to see authentic artifacts and experience the significance of the trading post to Navajo culture. Tonight, enjoy southwestern and Navajo flavors during an included dinner at the Lodge.
FB, DDay Four
Breakfast is included today before we depart for Canyon de Chelly. Nowhere in the Navajo Nation is the blending of past tradition and present culture more evident than at the Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The Monument is home to several periods of Indian Culture dating from 350 A.D. to 1300 A.D. The 26-mile Canyon’s sheer cliffs range from 30 to more than 1,000 ft. providing a spectacular backdrop for hundreds of Anasazi Ruins, as well as modern Navajo homes and farms. Tonight will be spent at the historic Thunderbird Lodge, the only hotel in Canyon de Chelly. (No elevators). Dinner is included tonight at the lodge’s restaurant, located in the original Trading Post built in 1896.
DDay Five
Window Rock will be our first stop today after our included breakfast. As you enter the park, look for the statue of the Navajo Code Talker, and notice the many symbolic structures. A circular path outlines the four cardinal directions, 16 angled steel pillars include the names of war veterans, and a healing sanctuary features a fountain made of sandstone that is used for reflection and solitude. While in Window Rock, we will visit the Navajo Nation Tribal Chambers, similar to our US Capitol Building. The landmark building is significant for its association with the 1930s New Deal. Before returning to the Vally, we’ll visit the Hubbell Trading Post and National Historic Site. Hubbell Trading Post is the oldest continuously operated trading post in the United States, a National Historic Site that features a bookstore, exhibits, rug weaving demonstrations and picnic tables.

Antelope Canyon Hiking Difficulty

This walk can be difficult for those who have mobility issues, had recent knee, hip surgery, etc. – please note you will not be able to take breaks and sit down.

When exiting canyon, you will walk up 17 steps with railing on both sides, to a single file platform that has a gradual incline. At the end of this 1/4 mile platform, there are 60-70 steps down to the tour vehicle.

Hand Bags, Fanny Packs and Hydration packs are not allowed in the Canyons unless they're clear or transparent.

No Restrooms available in the Canyon. Please use the Restrooms at our Store before the Tour.

We are Arizona (Phoenix - Mountain Standard Time Zone) We do not recognize Daylight Time even though Navajo Nation does.Tours operate according to Arizona Time Zone.
