Day One
Today we will depart the Valley by motorcoach for an exciting few days in captivating Los Angeles! On the way to LA, enjoy a stop in Palm Springs, longtime playground of Hollywood celebrities. Here, enjoy lunch on your own at one of the many dining options downtown. We arrive in LA this afternoon and check-in to the Hilton Garden Inn Hollywood before an evening of music and fireworks at the Hollywood Bowl. Tonight, enjoy TCHAIKOVSKY, performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, at the iconic Hollywood Bowl! Cymbals crash, horns blare, and fireworks blast into the sky at the Hollywood Bowl’s most spectacular summer tradition. The Hollywood Bowl is an open-air amphitheater that has been one of the most popular music venues in California since its opening in 1922.
Day Two
Enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel before experiencing the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The Museum dives into the fascinating world of cinema and offers immersive and dynamic exhibitions. Learn about virtual effects, costumes, cinematography and more – the behind-the-scenes magic that brings movies to life. For lunch, choose from one of the many restaurants at the LA Farmers Market. From American and Asian to Cajun and Korean, there are options for every palate. The Market has been operating since 1934 and offers more than 100 vendors, specialty food booths, shops, and restaurants. And no trip to LA is omplete without a stop for photos at the Hollywood Sign! This evening, prepare to be entertained during ‘Company’ at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre.
"Company" is Stephen Sondheim’s groundbreaking musical comedy and winner of 5 Tony Awards. This hilarious show focuses on Bobbie, a 35 year-old woman whose friends don’t understand why she isn’t married. The Hollywood Pantages Theatre is a landmark in Hollywood and captures the look and feel of 1930s luxury.
Day Three
After an included breakfast at the hotel, we’ll step back to the Ice Age with a visit to the La Brea Tar Pits. The La Brea Tar Pits is an active research site where natural asphalt has seeped up from the ground for tens of thousands of years. For centuries, the bones of trapped animals have been preserved. Witness ‘tar’ bubbling to the surface and learn about the many fossils that have been discovered in the pits.
