Day One

Today we depart Phoenix and head towards the beautiful rolling hills of Temecula, California, with a stop along the way for lunch. Our first stop in Temecula will be Miramonte Winery, one of southern California’s premier boutique wineries. Founded in 2001, Miramonte focuses on the southern European varieties with grapes of southern France, Spain, and Portugal. Enjoy a wine tasting before we head to Old Town Temecula for a driving tour of the area. After checking-in to the Embassy Suites hotel re-join your fellow travelers for an evening reception. The rest of the night is yours for dinner on your own and to rest or explore.

Day Two

Enjoy an included breakfast before we depart for Vail Headquarters, a living historic park dating back to 1867. Stroll through the Farmer’s Market and find fresh produce, flowers, local honey, specialty food and local artisans. Visit the shops and boutique stores and learn about the history of Vail Headquarters, originally built as a working cattle ranch. Wilson Creek Winery and Vineyards is our next stop for winery tour, tasting and lunch (included). This family-owned winery started in 1996 by Gerry and Rosie Wilson, who still own and operate the winery with their children and grandchildren. Known for their famous Almond Sparkling Wine (formerly known as Almond Champagne), Gerry is especially proud that Wilson Creek is the unofficial winery of many Navy ships, including eight aircraft carriers. After lunch, guests can choose shopping in Old Town Temecula, or relaxing at the hotel before an included evening reception. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy dinner on your own and relax or explore.
