ROSES - WAVES - WINE

Roses abound at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland, where you’ll see more than 10,000 individual rose bushes! Portland celebrates these beautiful blooms, and so will you, at the Grand Floral Parade at the Portland Rose Festival! See the floral-covered floats roll down the streets, then get a close-up, behind-the-scenes look at them at the float barn. Continue to enjoy the flora during a visit to the Portland Japanese Garden, considered one of the best in the world.

The Oregon coast is known for its diverse landscapes, from dramatic rock formations to scenic beaches and charming coastal towns. Explore the coast during a stay in Cannon Beach where you can get a photo with Haystack Rock and go puffin-watching. And spend two nights in Seaside, a historic coastal resort town with a long, sandy beach and Seaside Promenade. While there, venture to the Tillamook Creamery for a tour and cheesy lunch!

Of course, no visit to Oregon is complete without trying their famed Pinot Noir! Enjoy wine tasting in the world-renowned Willamette Valley. In addition to the signature Pinot Noir, the Willamette Valley produces excellent Pino Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling and sparkling wines.

See more than 10,000 individual rose bushes in bloom, with 610 rose varieties represented. The Garden dates to 1917 and is a testing ground for new rose varieties. Stroll the various gardens within the garden, take in the views of Portland and Mount Hood, and take time to smell the roses! After visiting the Rose Garden, enjoy an evening reception at the Embassy Suites before an included welcome dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory. This family-owned Italian restaurant started in Portland in 1969 and moved to its current location in 1984. The restaurant is full of unique décor including an old-fashioned trolly car and offers scenic views of the Willamette River.
