Northern Arizona is steeped in rich history and beauty. Learn about the ancient inhabitants of Arizona at Tuzigoot National Monument and Walnut Canyon National Monument. These treasures include a 110-room hilltop pueblo and multiple cliff dwellings.
Flagstaff was the first International Dark Sky City and its here that you will marvel at the night sky at Lowell Observatory. The Observatory is known for the discovery of Pluto, among other astrological wonders and is home to one of the finest collections of telescopes available for public viewing.
Youll also get your fill of great food and entertainment at Black Barts Steakhouse, Saloon and Musical Review, a Flagstaff staple for more than 40 years.

Day One
Today we depart the Valley and head north for cooler temperatures in Flagstaff and the surrounding area! Our first stop with be Tuzigoot National Monument in the Verde Valley. Explore the wonders of the 1,000-year-old 110 room hilltop pueblo. Take some time to explore the visitors center and museum before heading to downtown Cottonwood for shopping and lunch on your own. Mid-afternoon we will make our way too Drury Hotel in Flagstaff for our overnight stay.
Get ready for a fun and delicious dinner tonight at Black Bart’s Steakhouse, Saloon and Musical Revue. The wait staff at Black Barts don’t just provide a fantastic dinner, but perform a Musical Revue including songs from Broadway, Disney, the 60s and 70s, and more! After your fill of food and fun, we’ll go stargazing and see where Pluto was discovered! We will visit Lowell Observatory where you can take a self-guided tour and marvel at the beauty of the night sky at the Giovale Open Deck Observatory. Their collection of telescopes is one of the finest available for public observing. Lowell Observatory was established in 1894 and is a Registered National Historic Landmark.
Day Two
Enjoy an included hot breakfast at the hotel before departing for fun filled activities in Flagstaff. Enjoy lunch on your own before our visit to Walnut Canyon National Monument. Visit the pueblos of ancient inhabitants and stroll along the trail that provides access to 25 cliff dwellings. Keep an eye out for the many animal and plant species that find sanctuary in Walnut Canyon. After our visit, we’ll head back to the Valley.
