Hello and welcome to the Navajo Nation. The largest Native American tribe in North America. With over 300,000 members and spanning three states, there’s no shortage of things to see and do here. From exploring ancient ruins to hiking through canyons, this place has it all! Experience the culture, traditions and history of the Navajo people today.

Antelope Canyon Hike

Guests must walk 3/4 mile consistently from start to finish. Navajo Nation enforced social distancing protocols, so guests do not congregate in areas. No seating to sit down to take breaks. When entering, there are flat uneven sandy surfaces throughout the canyon. When exiting the canyon, guests will walk up 17 steps with railing on both sides. It is a single file platform that has a gradual incline. When you are 1/4 Mile left there is 60-70 steps down to the tour vehicle. 

**If guests have any mobility issues, need breaks, have bad knees or needs assistance, this tour should not be booked.

Day One

Depart Phoenix with a lunch stop in Sedona before traveling on to the beautiful and magnificent Page area. A welcome dinner is included this evening at the hotel.

Day Two

A continental beakfast is included before you enjoy a tour of Antelope Canyon. Antelope Canyon is a small, but exquisitely beautiful geological formation in Northern Arizona, its unsurpassed beauty is breathtaking. Lunch is on your own in Page before departing to Tuba City. Be prepared for a wonderful learning experience as you travel to Tuba City to view the interactive Navajo Code Talkers Museum and the Historic Tuba City Trading Post. Navajoland Hotel of Tuba City. No Elevators.

Day Three

Breakfast is included before you depart for a tour of the fabulous and beautiful Monument Valley where you will discover why it is considered one of the centerpieces of beauty on Navajo Land. Beautiful red sandstones push skyward from the vast expanse of desert floor, creating a striking set of formations that stand together against an umbrella of blue skies. Lunch is on your own in Kayenta before you depart for Canyon de Chelly. You will thrill to the delights of the beautiful and breathtaking Canyon de Chelly! Nowhere in Navajo land is the blend of past tradition and present culture more evident than at Canyon de Chelly National Monument. This Monument is home to several periods of Indian Culture dating from 350 A.D. to 1300 A.D. The 26-mile Canyon’s sheer cliffs range from 30 to more than 1,000 ft. providing a spectacular backdrop for hundreds of Anasazi Ruins, as well as modern Navajo homes and farms. Continue to Window Rock and check into the Quality Inn Window Rock. No Elevators.

Day Four

Breakfast is included before you visit Window Rock. This park has many symbolic structures: a circular path outlining the four cardinal directions, 16 angled steel pillars with the name of war veterans and a healing sanctuary that is used for reflection and solitude that features a fountain made of sandstone. We will visit the Navajo Nation Tribal Chambers – similar to our US Capitol Building. Then depart for the Hubbell Trading Post and National Historic Site. Hubbell Trading Post is the oldest continuously operated trading post in the United States, a National Historic Site that features a bookstore, exhibits, rug weaving demonstrations and picnic tables. Then return to the Valley.

Antelope Canyon Hiking Difficulty

  • This walk can be difficult for those who have mobility issues, had recent knee, hip surgery, etc. – please note you will not be able to take breaks and sit down.

  • When exiting canyon, you will walk up 17 steps with railing on both sides, to a single file platform that has a gradual incline. At the end of this 1/4 mile platform, there are 60-70 steps down to the tour vehicle.

Additional Information

  • Hand Bags, Fanny Packs and Hydration packs are not allowed in the Canyons unless they're clear or transparent.

  • No Restrooms available in the Canyon. Please use the Restrooms at our Store before the Tour.

  • We are Arizona (Phoenix - Mountain Standard Time Zone) We do not recognize Daylight Time even though Navajo Nation does.Tours operate according to Arizona Time Zone.
