Day One
Travel from Phoenix to Long Beach, California. Visit the Aquarium of the Pacific and discover sharks, jellyfish, sea otters and more.
Check-in and enjoy a guided tour of the historic and recently renovated Queen Mary. The Queen Mary was one of the largest and most elegant ships of the early 20th century. Step back in time into the art deco staterooms and learn about the celebrity, and haunted, history of the ship.
Day Two
Enjoy an included breakfast, then board the Catalina Express for a one-hour ride to Avalon on Catalina Island. Once on shore, climb aboard the Discover Avalon Tour. Journey through the heart of Avalon, along the beachfront and up the hillsides, through the heart of this historic town. Take in picture-perfect views and local attractions while learning about Catalina Island history and folklore.
Optional - You may choose to upgrade to the Journey to the Sky tour (additional $75), which travels through the outback of Catalina Island to a protected wilderness area. Travel beyond Avalon and keep an eye out for North American Bison and Catalina Island fox, deep canyons, and beautiful ocean views. Visit the Catalina Nature Center at the Airport in the Sky, known for their famous “killer cookies”. After exploring Catalina Island, take the return trip to Long Beach aboard the Catalina Express. Spend another night aboard the Queen Mary and spend time on your own exploring nearby downtown Long Beach.
Day Three
After an included breakfast at the hotel, depart Long Beach to return to the Phoenix area.
