DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun

The DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun, a 10-acre Historic District in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains, celebrates the life and art of Ettore “Ted” DeGrazia. The property includes unique and beautiful grounds, and a variety of buildings set in a natural desert setting. The original structure, built in the 1950’s, was an open-air adobe mission, constructed of traditional adobe bricks, built by DeGrazia and his friends. The galleries contain six permanent collections, and rotating exhibitions, of artwork that showcase native cultures and historical event of the Southwest.

DeGrazia and his work are characterized by his depiction of Southwestern life and colorful images of Native American children. As you wander through the galleries and grounds, viewing many of the 15,000 DeGrazia originals, you’ll appreciate DeGrazia’s passion and how he uniquely captured the spirit of the Southwest.
