Become a Free Spirit Vacations "Angel"

Gilbert, Arizona — Do you like to travel and love people? If so, Free Spirit Vacations is looking for volunteers to help others experience their dream vacation and earn free travel as a result.

"I started as a Free Spirit Angel three years ago," states Bobbi Anger. "I now am a part time employee and love my job. It is so rewarding to prepare a vacation for someone and have them return and thank me for the great experience. My travels have allowed me to experience different places and different people. The differences were fun, but the real discovery was what I found in the people…I found myself!"

Whatever the motivation to volunteer may be, whether to solve a community problem, advance a worth cause or to develop as a person, volunteering offers many benefits in appreciation for the gift of time and expertise. Volunteering can help individuals:

make important networking contacts
learn or develop skills
gain work experience
build self-esteem and self-confidence
improve health
help meet new people
feel needed and valued
make a difference in someone's life
express gratitude for help you may have received in the past from an organization

Currently, Free Spirit Vacations has six angels who "Make Life a Little Sweeter" for others. They range in age from 12 to 82!

Free Spirit Vacations has been offering travel packages for the 50+ age group for the past ten years. Recently they were awarded the Top Tour Operator in North America by the North America Travel Journalists Association based on the diversity of product and the quality of service offered. "A tour is more than the destination," explains Sue Arko, owner of Free Spirit Vacations. "Our business is about people and sharing the world with them."
